ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ :-

          ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದು,ಈ ಪುರಸಭೆಯು ಸನ್ 1853ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.ಇದು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಿಂದ 149ಕಿ.ಮೀ.ಅಂತರ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು 2001 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ 39,235(ಗಂಡು 19,914 ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು 19,321) ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷರತೆಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ 77.7%(ಗಂಡು 87.1%ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು 68.2%)ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಮಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ 475.3 ಮೀ.ಮೀ. ಇರುತ್ತದೆ .ಅಥಣಿ ಪುರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 23 ವಾರ್ಡಗಳಿದ್ದು 23 ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ 5 ನಾಮ ನೀರ್ದೆಶಿತ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.ಅಥಣಿ ಪುರಸಭೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಸಿದ್ದೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಮುರಘೇಂದ್ರ ಶಿವಯೋಗಿಗಳ ಮಠ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಅಥಣಿ ತಾಲೂಕ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ,ಕೆಂಪವಾಡ ಮತ್ತು ರೇಣುಕಾ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರಖಾನೆಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.

Brief About Athani TMC:-

            The Town Municipal Council Athani was constituted in 1853. It has 39,235 population(Male 19,914 and Female 19,321) according to the census of 2001 and at a distance of 149 KM from Belgaum. The Town Municipal Council has 23 wards and equal number of Councilors.The Town Municipal Council Athani Literacy Rate is 77.7%(Male 87.1% and Female 68.2%). TMC has 23 wards and equal numbers of councilors and 5 number of Nominee councilors.Tha gram devata of Athani is Siddeshwar .The sideeshwar temple was very famous  and Shree  Shivayogi Murgendra Swamiji's  birth place.Athani taluk limit 3 Sugar factory are here.  Athani is one of 74 Karnataka Cities in the Karnataka Municipal Reforms Project - Municipal eGovernance project. Each of the 74 cities will get a comprehensive website other important modules to be launched by September 2007 are Property Tax, Financial Accounting GIS mapping, Municipal Reforms Project is a partnership between the Urban Development, eGovernments Foundation and Survey of India.These computer based systems coupled with accountability and smoother delivery of services to citizens of Karnataka.

20-06-2012:- ಅಥಣಿ ಪುರಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನವೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾದ ಸಭಾಭವನ ಉದ್ಗಾಟಣೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣ ಸವದಿ ಶಾಸಕರು ಅಥಣಿ ಉದ್ಗಾಟಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ  ಸನ್‌ 2009-10ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಶೇ.22.75 ,ಶೇ7.25 ಹಾಗು ಶೇ3% ಎಸ್‌.ಎಫ್.ಸಿ.  ಅನುದಾನದಡಿ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ಜಾತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ಪಂಗಡಗಳು,ಬಡಜನರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಂಗವಿಕಲ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ,ಹೊಲಿಗೆ ಯಂತ್ರ,ಬಡಿಗತನ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಹಾಗು ಮೂರು ಚಕ್ರದ ವಾಹನ ಮತ್ತು ಚೆಕ್ಕ ವಿತರಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಜರಿಗಿತು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ.ರಾಜು ಬುಲಬಲೆ,ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಂದ್ರಕಾಂತ ತೇರದಾಳ ಸ್ಥಾಯಿ ಸಮೀತಿ ಚೇರಮನ್ನರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ.ಉಮೇಶರಾವ ಬಂಟೊಡಕರ ಹಾಗು ಪುರಸಭೆ ಸದಸ್ಯರು,ಪುರಸಭೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಾದಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ. ಜೆ.ಡಿ.ಗುದಿಗೆನ್ನವರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಸರ್ವ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು.Click here to view photos.

 ದಿನಾಂಕ:17-11-2011ರಂದು ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ  ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಜಾತಿ ಗಣತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ತಮ್ಮ   ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಗಣತಿದಾರರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಬೇಕು.
