15-08-2010: Independance day was celebrated in Athani Town Municipal office premises. The President Shri.M.S.Huddar hosted the flag. The other TMC staff and TMC councilors were also present on the occasion. |

TOWN MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, ATHANI
The Town Municipal Council Athani was constituted in 1853. It has 39,235 population(Male 19,914 and Female 19,321) according to the census of 2001 and at a distance of 149 KM from Belgaum. The Town Municipal Council has 23 wards and equal number of Councilors.The Town Municipal Council Athani Literacy Rate is 77.7%(Male 87.1% and Female 68.2%). Athani is one of 74 Karnataka Cities in the Karnataka Municipal Reforms Project - Municipal eGovernance project. Each of the 74 cities will get a comprehensive website other important modules to be launched by September 2007 are Property Tax, Financial Accounting GIS mapping, Municipal Reforms Project is a partnership between the Urban Development, eGovernments Foundation and Survey of India.These computer based systems coupled with accountability and smoother delivery of services to citizens of Karnataka.ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ
ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ತಾಲೂಕಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾನವಾಗಿದ್ದು,ಈ ಪುರಸಭೆಯು ಸನ್ ೧೮೫೩ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದು ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯಿಂದ ೧೪೯ ಕಿ.ಮೀ.ಅಂತರ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯು 2001 ರ ಜನಗಣತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ೩೯,೨೩೫(ಗಂಡು ೧೯೯೧೪ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ೧೯೩೨೧ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷರತೆಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ೭೭.೭%(ಗಂಡು ೮೭.೧% ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ೬೮.೨%)ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.ಅಥಣಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸರಾಸರಿ ಮಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ೪೭೫.೩ ಮೀ.ಮೀ. ಇರುತ್ತದೆ .
